Sejong Cultural Center


Sejong Cultural Center    Korea's foremost cultural stage since 1978 the Center has music auditoriums, drama stages, exhibition halls and conference facilities. There are attached practice areas for nine separate art companies, a workshop for stage-related equipment and event halls to fit any size performance or conference.
There is also an outdoor performance area, Fountain Square Regular Stage, where over 50 lunch time performances are held each year (Mon.-Fri. April to May and late September to late October). From February to November is the Saturday Regular Stage presenting a variety of Korean classical music, operas, ballets, etc. from 3-5 p.m. The entrance fee for these performances is 3,000 won.
 
Transportation
Subway: 3-5 minutes from Kwanghwamun Station (purple line), 10 minutes from Kyungbukkung Station (orange line)
 
Taxi: tell the driver 'say-jeong mun-hwa center'
 
 
 
 
Directions
From the subway just follow the maps at any exit. The building is the giant one opposite the U.S. Embassy on the west side of the huge street halfway between the big (Kwanghwamun) gate and the statue (of Admiral Lee Soon-shin).
